Shannon Christie’s (Nicole Kidman) waistcoat from Ron Howard’s 1992 romantic drama Far and Away.

The film follows a young Irish couple who flee to the States for a new life, but find the promised land of America harder to navigate than they thought.

Shannon wore her waistcoat when she and Joseph (Tom Cruise) took part in the Land Run of 1893. It is dark blue with an ornate floral pattern down the front and around the waist. It has ten metal buttons and a metal rod sewn into the garment behind the buttons to help it keep its shape.

The waistcoat has some wear from production use and age, including some loose threads and plucking. Some of the blue has bled into the white inner lining of the waistcoat, discolouring it. Considering the age of the item it remains in an excellent condition.

This dress was worn by Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, in episode 14 of the fifth season of the television series Vikings (Vikings © 2013-2020 MGM Television), entitled "The Lost Moment".

The dress features shades of black, blue and gray, and was custom made entirely by hand by the costume department for the actress to wear. The costume was designed by costume designer Joan Bergin, and features bluish fur detailing from the neckline to the arms on a velvety-textured fabric.

On this occasion, the chosen tones express the moment the character is going through, relegated to hiding from Ivar. In the actress's own words, in an interview conducted by the History Channel, she declared about her character in this season: "She has lost everything. She has lost her kingdom, her family, her people. Her hair has turned all white" " She has to find her own way", This suit can be seen on screen in one of Lagertha's encounters with Heahmund (played by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers). In one of the visits of the actress herself to the costume department, this particular suit can be seen while it was being manufactured, by one of the tailors  Georgina Diaz.

Vertical Limit (2000) – Annie Garrett’s (Robin Tunney) Jacket

This jacket was acquired by the production for use by Robin Tunney as “Annie Garrett” in the film. 

Inside the pocket there are still traces of fake snow from the shoot.

The “Macpac” jacket features red collar and cuffs. Included with the jacket is a production used costume tag that details the change and scene numbers used and two 8” x 10” production photos.

The actress worn this jacket on the set in the final scene when Annie reconciles with Peter recovering at base camp. Vertical Limit was filmed on location in Pakistan (location of K2), Queenstown, New Zealand and the United States.
