A United Ranger's C-10 Cutlass from M. Night Shyamalan's 2013 sci-fi / adventure film, After Earth. In a future where Man was forced to abandon Earth a millennium ago due to cataclysmic events, General Cypher (Will Smith) and his estranged son, Kitai (Jaden Smith), crash land on the derelict planet when their ship is damaged during a vicious asteroid shower. With his father seriously injured, it is up to Kitai to risk a variety of perils in order to release a distress signal. Rangers can be seen wielding cutlasses – their deadly multipurpose weapon - early in the film as they transport the captured Ursa aboard General Cypher's ship.

Bound in an acrylic casing, this piece is composed of a resin shaft over a solid core and features an intricate metallic pattern with various silver lines streaming the length of the item. Both ends of the cutlass are sealed with a black finish giving the item a "sheathed" appearance.

This piece shows some light signs of wear, such as mild dents, but remains in great overall condition.

This costume was custom-made by the production for use by Jaden Smith as “Kitai”. 

The costume consists of grey coveralls with textured pattern on the shoulders, arms sides and legs, grey/black gloves and a pair of leather boots. 

This costume was worn by Jaden Smith in the Training scenes at the begining of the movie.

The costumes worn by Jaden in After Earth were designed and made by Costume Designer Amy Westcott (who worked closely with Ironhead Studio in developing Jaden Smith’s various costumes) and were called ‘Life Suits’ . After Earth was Amy Westcott’s first attempt at a sci-fi feature. Exclusive costume illustrations by Brian Valenzuela.

The costume have a stingray skin badge on the chest, because The Ranger Corps´ ships were derived from stingrays. 

The boots are a extension of the suit, but avoiding the one piece look. According to Amy Westcott " The biggest challenge with the boots was making them appropriate for all terrains. He was climbing wet trees, parkouring off rocks and doing a ton of running. They also had to be very comfortable, lightweight, and I wanted them to be clear urethane. No existing sole covered all the bases, so we made our own"
